THE GUBA GREENWICH TRADE EXPO 2018

LONDON, JUNE 2018

The 3rd GUBA Greenwich Trade Expo will take place in London from Friday the 15th of June 2018 to Sunday the 17th of June 2018. The three-day event will begin with a seminar, followed by an outdoor ‘African Market’ style exhibition of a range of African inspired products and services.

The GUBA Greenwich Trade Expo is a platform for African-inspired products and services to be showcased to a global audience, to increase exposure and create business development opportunities for African businesses.

The primary aim of the event is to develop entrepreneurs and showcase African inspired products from both UK and Africa created by small and medium sized businesses (SMBs), who seek to establish themselves in the British mainstream market. With the current economic changes and the announcement of Brexit, it is currently a great opportunity for Ghanaian and African businesses to explore emerging possibilities of trade partnerships in the UK.

Opportunities Galore for Our 2015 Pioneers..

IMG_9718It’s been over a month since the official launch event for the Future of Ghana deluxe edition publication. Since then the we (the Future of Ghana team) have not rested on our laurels. As Project Manager, Sandra Osei stated during the launch … Excellence is our Average! As such we have been working hard to make sure we deliver our remaining objectives for the year.

Moreover a central part of the Future of Ghana initiative are our top 30 pioneers themselves and whilst they will have the remainder of the year to bask in the glory of their selection. It is pertinent on our part that they are given the opportunity to further establish and better themselves. Our Director of Communications, Ben Anim-Antwi has galvanised the pioneers and created a networking group amongst themselves he has also been working hard to ensure they have access to events and courses that will benefit them as they pursue their respective endeavours.

All of our pioneers were given the unique opportunity through the Future of Ghana initiative to explore the potential of an  MBA at the world renowned Yale University School of Management (SOM) by applying for the Pre MBA leadership program which will run this coming June 2015. We were able to get the original application deadline extended exclusively for our pioneers so as much of them as possible could get the chance to apply.

Eight of our Ghanaian based pioneers including Gordon Dogbe, David Asare Asiamah, Prince Adu Appiah and Donald Ward were selected to attend the annual QBP (Queens Birthday Party) at the British High Commission in Accra. They were able to network with diplomats, celebrity and business figures from both the UK & Ghana and were treated to a live performance by Ghanaian rising star Singer/Songwriter Wiyaala in the grounds of the High commissioners residence.
